The Guitar Professor isn't just a tuner, it's a tuner and a teacher. It is a highly accurate, easy-to-use guitar tuner plus pitch pipe, which includes a chord finder that teaches you to play more than 250 different chords via an on-screen visual reference guide.
Very useful 3-in-1 gadget. Small and light, only weighs 65g. Runs on 2 AAA batteries (included). The tuning display shows a digital needle and 3 LEDs (sharp, flat and in tune) which make accruate tuning very easy. The metronome covers all the common speeds and patterns that you are likely to need in western music. A clip on microphone is included to help tuning acoustic instruments where there is background noise and electric instruments just plug in using a normal jack lead.
Surprisingly good response from a pickup of this simplicity and price. For recording we use one of these clipped on to the headstock of my electro-acoustic rather than the one that is built into the guitar!
This is an absolutely great professional tuner suited to virtually any instrument. Whole display changes colour, yellow when you are flat, red when you are sharp and green when in tune. We use them ourselves on a variety of instruments. As you can see from the pictures, there is a digital needle. Combined with the colour coded backlight this makes tuning a doddle. Simple controls and an attractive design make this a Tone Deaf favourite!
Lovely little tuner. Suited to people who want someting small and robust and want the minium of fuss. Simply clip it on, switch on and tune away.
Hit the fork on a hard object to make it resonate at 440Hz and then hold the bottom on a wooden surface (like your instrument) to amplify it. Then simply tune your A string to the tone of the fork and then the rest of your strings to your A string.
